p 14 Call To Register 253-841-5457 Health & Fitness Walking Group/All Ages Join the Daffodil Valley Volkssport Asso- ciation for their weekly walking group. These Wednesday morning walks start at 9am and are non-competitive. Participants walk at their own pace. Many walks can be done with strollers or in wheelchairs. Everyone is welcome! Puyallup Wednesday Runs Join South Sound Running at their down- town Puyallup store every Wednesday at 5:30pm for your choice of either 3 or 6 mile runs. These group runs change each week and maps are available. Post run snacks and beverages are provided. Each time you run, you increase your chances in a raffle for a free pair of shoes! All skill levels welcome! When: Wednesdays, 5:30pm Where: South Sound Running 115 S. Meridian Fee: Free! Tai Chi Tai Chis is recognized for its great pow- ers instilling and maintaining good health and fitness in people of all ages. Regular practice prevents the onset of illness and can prove effective in the treatment of common ailments and debilitating condi- tions. Tai Chi is practiced slowly so this art is suitable for everyone. Come try it out! Instructor: Ronny Llanos When: Thursdays, 5:30-6:30pm Where: PAC/Multi Fee: $20/month Adult Aerobic Tennis It had to happen sooner or later! You know the drill: 10 minutes of warm-up, 10 minutes of warm-down, and 35 minutes of aerobic target zone movement via fast paced tennis drills. So, bring your racquet and some pep. Ages: 16 and Up When: Monday, Wednesday, 12-1pm, 1-2pm Tuesday, Thursday, 12-1pm, 1-2pm Where: PRC (Tennis courts when weather allows, Racquetball Courts when too wet) Fee: $59 Resident Discount $49 For health & fitness options for seniors, contact the Activity Center or check out page 17. Puyallup Pacers' Walking Trips The Puyallup Activity Center is encourag- ing active and healthy lifestyles among all seniors through walking. These trips are designed for seniors who love to walk! Walking trips are offered year around due to popular demand. Once or twice a month depending on the season, we will explore different walking areas off-site. Indoor walking will be accom- modated for inclement weather; dress appropriately. Transportation provided; pre-registration required. A no-host lunch stop will be included or bring a sack lunch as an alternative. When: Tuesdays (2x/month), Time varies Hiking Crew The Puyallup Activity Center is ventur- ing out and offering a get out and hike trip. We will meet the second Monday of each month and experience new trails near and far. The trips are designed for seniors who love to hike. This program will be a little more advanced than a walk. Pre-registration is required. When: 2nd Monday (1x/month) Van Lierop Walking Trail with a View Cooridor is officialy open!
